The artist has handed over the entirety of his £25k honor winnings to the MVT, which functions to save the United Kingdom's small live music spots.
Fender was given the cheque on mid-October as his third album his work was declared the top album of the previous year.
Fender has opted to give the cash to the Music Venues Trust, in appreciation of the crucial part grassroots venues had in his early career.
"As an artist wouldn't be doing this success if it hadn't been for all the performances I did around the area, and further afield, when I was beginning," remarked Fender. "These locations are iconic, but they are struggling."
From early 2023 onward, at least 150 of these venues have permanently closed – roughly one-sixth of the entire UK sector.
Recently, major artists including Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the Music Venues Trust in its attempts to keep the scene afloat, by including a small levy to their admission fees, which goes to help smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also participated, raising over £100k on his recent tour to help 38 small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These funds helped locations that were dealing with potential shutdown due to difficulties stemming from water damage, fires and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and sound issues.
Other venues were granted financial assistance in upgrading infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and fans.
"The concept that revenue from concerts in major spaces helps the smaller venues, where it all starts for musicians like me, is just sensible," Sam Fender has commented.
The musician is among several artists to give his Mercury Prize prize money to worthy causes.
When they earned the trophy in the mid-90s for their release their work, vocalist the singer stated that the act would contribute their winnings to the charity the charity.
That year, artist she shared her prize across several good causes, such as the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.

Previously, the band gave their prize money to the youth organization that nurtured their band, as well as other independent music bodies.
And the 1994 recipients M People gave their award to a multiple sclerosis charity after a friend was found to have the illness.
"The victory was sufficient," stated singer the singer. "The cash was the bonus but we didn't require the extra, because we had the honor. So our success impacted the lives of others."
Recently, the Music Venues Trust revealed it had protected two grassroots venues in that region, by transferring them to community ownership.
The first in Southampton and the other in that location were purchased under the community ownership scheme, which is supported by the arts council and supporters who purchase "ownership units" in the properties.
